What is Coaching?
Coaching is a guided conversation between the coach and the client, and is a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximize personal and professional potential. It is designed to provide awareness to whatever is getting in the way of what you want to achieve in your life. We do this by distinguishing what is stopping you or what is inconsistent with the results you say you want. Coaching is designed to facilitate the development of personal, professional, or business goals and to develop and carry out identified recommended actions or strategies for achieving those goals. Coaching is not therapy (see disclaimer below).
How we work with you
We begin in collaboration. We listen to your concerns, challenges and identify the results you ideally want to achieve. Each 30 minute session focuses on a concern, topic, or challenge that you are facing. Our process is easy yet robust. We see things that others miss, allowing us to uncover the root cause(s) of what is working and not working. We are then able to help you develop a solution that directly addresses your needs. For you to be successful, you must be willing to fully participate in the coaching conversation and be willing to take new actions to see the changes you want to see. This requires accountability and commitment on your part.
How to make the most of your coaching session
Be sure this time is uninterrupted. Choose a place that is relaxing and allows you to be 100% focused and present. This is your time to focus on you.
All coaching conversations are kept in the strictest professional confidentiality. Of course, law does not protect the confidential communication between coach and client, as coaching is neither of healthcare nor legal nature. Your coach will have to suspend this confidentiality agreement in the following cases:
• You report imminent suicidal or homicidal ideation
• You report abuse or neglect of a child, dependent or older adult
• Your coach is ordered by a court of law to do so
