Lilamani de Silva

Lilamani de Silva has a Masters in Biochemistry and papers in Psychology from the University of Otago in New Zealand. Her eclectic career has spanned across different industries including media relations and film production. She was a Clinical Audit Facilitator at Hammersmith Hospital for many years. A course in public relations led to a PR role at London Zoo. Her keen knowledge of the zoo world and background in analysis launching a new career as a Researcher then AP in the production of natural history documentaries.

Her first production was a natural history documentary for ITV about London Zoo called ‘Zoo Story.’ Lilamani’s love of film production as a freelancer gave her the good fortune to work for Discovery and Animal Planet. She created documentaries including ‘Postcards from the Wild’ in various locations including Canada, the USA and Australia. Her career afforded her the opportunity to travel the globe from  Zimbabwe,Vietnam to France and other countries in between.

These experiences opened her mind to appreciate different cultures and life perspectives which are reflected in her artwork, book, games and other projects.

An accomplished painter, Lilamani’s illustrations grace her co-authored book 15 Minute Pause. She has also sold paintings around the world. In addition to her love of travel, she is a nature enthusiast, enjoys reading, and racket sports. 

Michelle Burke from California and Lilamani from New Zealand, residing in London, met 20 years ago. Two women became business partners and friends from different backgrounds and continents shared a similar passion and purpose. While in Seattle, Lilamani was filming a documentary for Discovery Channel and Michelle, a Consultant to Microsoft, was delivering a keynote and training program for Microsoft’s world-wide conference.  It was their contagious laughs that immediately brought them together. Their mutual desire to give back in a meaningful way has cemented a lasting friendship.

Over the years, they have successfully developed and sold products for home, work and play including Personalogy Games for Family and Adults becoming Amazon’s Top 100 Card Games in 2015. Personalogy Family Game received awards from National Parenting Product Award, Creative Child Magazine Game of the Year and the Gold Award from Family Product Review in 2017. Personalogy Party Game made Amazon’s Choice in 2018.

Most recently, they co-authored 15 Minute Pause, A Radical Reboot for Busy People. The Life Energy Inventory in the book is the foundation for their collaboration on ReENERGIZE Your Life on-line program available now.They are working on their latest project Joy Cards which will be published in 2022. They continue to practice taking daily joy-filled pauses. Both share a love of family, friends, travel, laughter and the outdoors no matter what the weather.
